It is in use by the Royal Netherlands Army. It will replace the Dutch TOW weapons. The GILL has a shorter maximum range but operates following the fire-and-forget principle. This means that once the missile has been fired is seeks his own way to the target.
Once the missile has been fired, new information can be loaded to the missile to change route to the target. The maximum range is 2500 meters. The gill hits the target on the top side.
