TPz Fuchs 1

De TPz Fuchs 1 is a wheel armored transport vehicle developed by the German company Rheinmetall Landsysteme. The Fuchs can be made in different versions: NBC protection, reconnaissance, C4I command, control, communications and intelligence systems, C3I, mortar-carrier and a electronic warfare version.
Technical
Self-protection
For self-protection the vehicle can be armored with a 12.7mm machine gun or a 40mm grenade launcher. The entire body and glass is protected against weapons till 7.62 caliber. Extra armor can be attached up to 30 mm.
 

Electronics
The crew has a intercom and a radio, driver and commander night vision systems, integrated global positioning system and a vehicle navigation set. On amphibious operations it has a speed of 10 km/h through water.

the Netherlands
The Royal Netherlands army has 23 Fuchs 1 vehicles. Six of them are in the NBC reconnaissance version.
