The T55 produces 3570 hp with a maximum of of 4867 hp. More than 4200 engines have been manufactured for mainly the US Army which has the largest fleet of chinooks.
The Royal Netherlands Air Force which has a fleet of 11 CH-47D Chinooks are equipped with the T55-L-714A version.
