The TV3-117 turboshaft engine was developed by the Russian company Klimov in 1974. It was specially designed for the Mi-24 attack helicopter and the Mi-14. Later the engine was also chosen for the Mi-8MT/Mi-17, Mi-35, Ka-27/Ka-28, Ka-29, Ka-31, Ka-32, Ka-50 and Ka-52. |

newer version is the TV3-117BM engine for the Mi-28 Havoc attack helicopter.
