J-11

The J-11 is a 2-engine fighter jet for the Air force of the People's Republic of China. It is designated as J-11B - an improved Chinese made version of the Russian Su-27. The first 2 J-11B fighters were delivered in 2008. A 2-seater is still in development.
China, ordered earlier 36 Su-27KS and 40 Su-27UBK which had the designation of J-11A. Further deliveries were manufactured in China but was abandoned after 100 fighters. This because the Su-27 should have too old technologies.
 

China developed an improved version which became designated as the J-11B. It is equipped with 2 WS-10A Tai Hang China-made turbofan engines.
