The An-2 Colt was initially developed as an agricultural airplane by the
Russian company Antonov. The first prototype of the more than 5000 airplanes
build, flew on August 31, 1947. The
An-2 is capable of troop transport, combat support, reconnaissance and
airborne or air land resupply. The crew consists of two pilots. The plane
can transport 8 passengers.
The aircraft is/was used by China and is in service with the Air Force of
North-Korea.
