The Puma is a transport helicopter which can carry 12 troops, developed by Eurocopter (Aerospatiale and Daimler Aerospace (DASA)). |

United-Kingdom The British Royal Air Force (RAF) has the Puma HC1 to operate on the frontline since 1971. There are currently 33 helicopters in service. These are part of the Joint Helicopter Command and are operated by No 33 Squadron and No 230 Squadron.
The British version Puma's can carry 16 fully equipped troops or 2 tons of cargo (intern or under the Puma by using a hook) or 6 stretchers in the medical version. The HC1 helicopters are powered by 2 Turbomeca Turmo 3-C4 turbine engines. France
